Until recently, when I thought of ponchos, I thought of Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future 3, sporting a wooly number that clearly began its life as a Navajo blanket. Lindsey Thornburg changed all that.

When I saw my first Lindsey Thornburg cloak, a broad new vista opened up for me. Draped, elegant, positively ladylike, the ponchos and capes of today have nothing at all to do with the Wild West.
